But Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. – Luke 18:16

The model for ministering to children begins at home with a parent  who loves God, lives a life of the Word, and teaches the Word to their children.

At Grace Baptist West Asheville children are considered one of the richest blessings that God gives us, yet we also view them as one of our primary Gospel-ministries.  Children and youth go through so many  unique developmental stages and we believe that it is a blessing from the Lord that he cherishes and uses for his glory.  Deuteronomy 6:4-7 says, “‘Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.  You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.  And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.’”  The model for ministering to children begins at home with a parent  who loves God, lives a life of the Word, and teaches the Word to their children. GBWA seeks to equip parents to disciple their children into a relationship with Jesus Christ and serving him forever.

On Sunday mornings we invite your whole family to join us in corporate worship. Yes, toddlers, babies, and children too, but we also have childcare on Sundays for ages newborn to four during our corporate gatherings at 10:45am where we emphasize the safety of all children, serving parents who know their children best, and teaching the Word of God to children in our care.
