Grace Baptist Church participates in many mission and ministry activities, both local and international.
Local Missions and Ministries:
Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry:
Grace Baptist cooperates with the Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry and supports this ministry with both volunteer and financial help. ABCCM provides counseling, medical, dental and financial help to needy individuals and families in the area,
Handyman Program:
Recognizing an unmet need the men of Grace Baptist Church have banded together to provide a unique “hands-on” mission ministry. Through the Handyman program they provide help to older persons in our congregation and community that need small repair jobs or assistance that often times they cannot afford. The men provide this help without charge to those unable to pay. They earn money to provide financial support for this ministry using various activities such as a pancake breakfast.
Weekend Flea Market and Western North Carolina State Fair:
Recognizing the opportunity for a unique ministry and an opportunity to share the Gospel along with a cup of coffee Grace Baptist Church assists in rest stop ministries in the local area on Holiday weekends and helps to man a booth providing comfort and cold water during the Mountain State Fair days. Working under the auspices of the ABCCM local volunteers also offer dental and medical care to Fair workers.
Mission-St. Joseph’s Care Van
Grace Baptist Church cooperates with Mission St Joseph’s Hospital to provide a location for their Care Van to give health screenings for local residents on the 2nd Tuesday of each month
International Missions:
Grace Baptist Church supports missions in our nation and around the world in cooperation with the Southern Baptist Convention and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Individual members have participated as volunteers in Nigeria, South Africa, Poland, Honduras, and Belize.
